We recently used a product that I think is great. It is made by Belgard and offers the durability of a hardscape as well as the ability to retain grass or other plant growth. The Turf Stone in this application will be seeded and soon give way to grass. A finished material look can be found here.

I love working with natural stone. The characteristics of each piece add more life to a patio than a man made cement paver or brick. The stone used for this project is called Pennsylvania Pattern Stone and was supplied by The Stone Center of Indiana.

A big kitchen made even bigger by turning original island a quarter move and adding a trash bin cabinet box and six inch filler. New granite countertops and other additional cabinets expand preparation and storage areas. Maple trim to finish island.
